The Cheese

One of the constants in my life since I was 12 years old has been my Chels. We have shared a lot together over the last 17 years. Some good, some not so good, but that is what brings you closer. "Chelsea is such a sweetheart", is what my Dad always says and it is true. She is kind and generous and loyal. Here is a piture of us this last weekend up in Plain, WA (more pictures to follow).

One of the greatest things was when Chelsea flew to Arizona and surprised me on my 28th birthday. Adam told me there was a surprise for my birthday. I had no idea what it was. Adam went on a bike ride that Saturday and while I was working out I thought, wouldn't it be great if Chelsea was my birthday surprise. I went to Adam's house and took a shower and by the time I got out and ready for the day, she was there. It was so cool. Thank you for great memories like that Chels. I am thinking of you today and all that you have been through.

My SEESTER

So one of the greatest things about living in Washington again is being able to be near my sister, Joan. She makes me laugh and is one of my best friends. Recently we went hiking up at Tiger Mountain on a particularly rainy Sunday. Although my sister is never afraid of getting dirty, she doesn't like staying dirty too long. Above is a picture of her making her way over to a little waterfall to wash off her "muddy" legs. FYI: They weren't even that dirty. It cracks me up. Love you Joan bone.

Kayaking adventure

Adam and I decided to try something new last weekend. We rented kayaks from Northwest Outdoor Center and paddled our way around Lake Union. It was so much fun. I have some great friends (Tiffy and Jen) who have been white water kayakers for a long time, but I had never tried it before. I can see why they love it so much. I am sure that white water is a lot different from sea kayaking, but the feeling must be similar. Next time we are going to rent it for the whole day and go out into the sound.

I am new

Couldn't figure out how to get the pictures uploaded. Anyway, this is where we are staying in Plain, WA this next weekend.

Hump day

It is a blessing that today is almost over. I can't wait to go home, pet the puppies, make some dinner and make my "On Demand" selection for the night. Comcast is awesome and they have this service called "On Demand" that allows you to watch TV shows after they have aired. It is great for me because Adam and I have different taste when it comes to TV. On the weeks he is out of town I catch up on Thc Closer and Invervention. It is also great because I go to bed so early on the week nights, I never get to watch all these great shows.

I am also looking forward to the end of today because that means I am a day closer to going to Plain, WA and staying in a cabin with some of my closest girl friends. Here is where we are staying

Welcome to 15 Pieces of flair

So I got this nifty title from Office Space, which never really made me laugh until I started my current job.
I also never thought of having a blog until Adam's sister started hers to cronicle the events leading up to her wedding. I realized I love going to read her blog and hearing about her life. I decided to start my own and I am sure like most things in my life, I will get bored with it within six months and stop.
I intend to use this blog to voice my opinion, vent about work, talk about books, and share events in my life. I don't care if no one ever reads this, I am looking at it as a outlet in a life that is too busy to keep a journal.
